Airway looks good, but instead of a tracheal reconstruction, they’d like to try ballooning with steroid shots into the tracheal scarring first. That will be every 2 weeks, 4 times, then 6-8 weeks with a smaller sized trach, and then 3-4 months with a capped trach (AND they want her to get sick during that time to see how she does) and then hopefully the trach will come out. Oh how I would love to avoid a major surgery! Thank you for the prayers. She’s in recovery and we’ll see her in a bit.
